Like everyone building on a limited budget, I was naturally looking for a good and affordable window. While browsing Amazon, I came across a solid PVC window measuring 80 x 50 cm with a frame depth of 5 cm. At a price of \u20ac80 including shipping, I didn't hesitate long and ordered the window.

 \"\"I had previously discovered the window mounting hardware on Amazon, the kind most overlanders with real glass windows have. It only cost \u20ac12 for a pair. I was very curious to see if I would be able to install the hardware on the window. After a few days, both the window and the hardware were delivered. I was very surprised to discover that there is apparently a standard size for window hardware.

\"\"So I assembled everything, adjusted it, and suddenly I had a window with a 50 mm frame depth that could be opened like an expensive expedition vehicle window.

I was naturally delighted with this success and contacted the window importer in Spain. After a few weeks' wait, they delivered five more windows, which were special because they arrived without any fittings or holes in the frame. I also paid a small surcharge of approximately \u20ac15 per window for impact-resistant safety glass.

All in all, I've now paid about \u20ac600 for six windows for my expedition vehicle. With safety glass.<\/p>\n
