Conversion to LED headlights for €30 / piece

Why I chose LED headlights.

Lower power consumption:
LEDs draw significantly less power – important for older trucks with weak batteries or when the vehicle is stationary for extended periods.
Reduced battery load:
This is especially relevant when additional appliances (heating, refrigerator, etc.) are running. LEDs = longer battery life.
Minimal heat generation:
LEDs don't get hot – ideal for tight installation spaces or poor ventilation in older housings. However, this can be a disadvantage when driving in snow.
Improved visibility:
Clear, bright light color – you are seen better, and you can see more yourself. A plus for safety.
Longer lifespan:
An LED often lasts 10 times longer than a halogen lamp. Fewer replacements mean less cost and less work.

However, I had to make some modifications. The lamps I bought were significantly smaller. Therefore, I had to fabricate a subframe from aluminum checker plate. I then used the smooth, reverse side of the aluminum checker plate and the original mounting brackets from the old H4 lamps to attach the plate. I used long screws with springs so that the lamps could still be adjusted. The lamps came with a plug connector, so I didn't have to rewire anything. A parking light needs to be added next to the LED lamp, as this wasn't included in the LED lamp (not yet visible in the pictures).
