Many people are interested in the final weight of my empty cabin.
My cabin has external dimensions of 4.6 m (length) x 2.47 m (width) x 2.4 m (height). I used a total of approximately 60 m² of sandwich panels: 34.5 m² of 30 mm facade sandwich panels and 27.1 m² of 50 mm facade sandwich panels.
The 30 mm panel weighs 5.9 kg / m², so a total of 203.55 kg, the 50 mm panel weighs 7.1 kg / m², so a total of 192.41 kg.
The 50 mm x 100 mm aluminum angles, which I had bent from aluminum checker plate, weigh a total of 30 kg. The wood of the inner wall weighs 98 kg.
I used around 40 cartridges of adhesive at 350g each, 14kg, six windows at 10kg each, a total of 60kg, Armaflex about 20kg and 120kg for the steel frame.
This results in a total empty weight of the cabin of approximately 740 kg.
