I opted for the free tool Sweethome3d. It's actually a tool for virtually furnishing houses and apartments, but with a few adjustments, it can also be used for planning a motorhome/expedition vehicle.
You can choose an aerial view, but it's also possible to take a virtual tour and create videos:
