Cabin door for less than 70,- €

You can spend a fortune on cabin doors. You can, but you don't have to. Here I'll show you how I built my own door using a cutout in the sandwich panel, prefabricated door profiles from trailer construction, and stainless steel hinges.

Here you can see the profiles. I got them from a Spanish truck and body parts distributor. The bars are 5 meters long and cost €20 for a 30 cm wall.

These profiles are difficult to find in Germany; when they are available, they sometimes cost €30 per meter. Absolute highway robbery!

Simply cut to the correct length with a miter saw….

…and attach the profiles to the cutout.

Do that for all sides.

Then glue the profiles in place and the door is finished. To hold the profiles in position while gluing, simply stretch a long ratchet strap around them.

Next, I'll show you how I built the castle and the castle recess for €60 instead of €300.
